Wild Fringed Bag

Remember those ugly, plain bags I picked up for a song? Well, tried another style of front and came up with this. I like this....it is busy, unguarded, all over the place. I ripped up a scarf and used the edges to make he friggy parts.  Don't need a fancy trim, just find cheap scarves with fringe on each side and it will work really well. First I paid out the uderpinnings with severa different animal prints, all sewn by hand. It's great to do late at night, when watching CSI, trust me.....

And now, back to quilting.......have more sewing to do,....so much fabric, and sew little time.....

New Bag Panel

Found a half dozen already made up messenger bags, complete with pockets, zippers, etc. Only thing....they are incredibly ugly. Only cost about 15$ each.....can't even make the forms for that.Got this idea to add to the front flaps and make  a complete change . Have a few to work with, so will try and make them all different and see what happens. Just did this one the past couple of days, so will keep seeing what happens.......

New bag for Rebecca

Front view
New  bag for Rebecca. Her first one kind of found its way to her daughter, and Rebecca was left bagless. This should do the trick.
Reverse view
Her birthday was in November, so I'm kinda late, and she doesn't know it's coming all the way to her in New Brunswick. That's probably the best kind of surprise........just because.  Way too Fun.

Indian Messenger Bag

Indian design Messenger bag....Made it a little smaller than the larger version. Will till hold everything, including the kitchen sink and a laptop, only neater. Used design from an Indian tunic as the front flap and added beading, etc.
Long straps make it comfortable to sling on opposite shoulder.

I'm Bagged.....

"Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will." (George Bernard Shaw)
Go wild with anything that you have at hand....fringes, beads, coins, metallics.........it's all good.
